It was declicious and now I have a bunch of these little guys ready for a quick breakfast on the go!

Hello! So I got this flash of an idea this morning as I made a yummy recipe I found on Pinterest. Why not start a Pinterest Project 52? I see these for photography projects all the time, by the month, by the day, by the week. Why not Pinterest? It seems that I'm constantly hearing people lament the amount of time they spend on Pinterest and how few projects they actually get done (if any!). It is a great, awesome, amazing site full of everything that can make your life a little more inspired/delicious/fit/decorated/crafty/fashionable.... but it can be a total drain and time waster if you never actually DO any of the brilliant projects or recipes that you pin!

When I was reflecting back on 2012, I realized one of the things I was actually thankful for was Pinterest! I know, that sounds so silly, but hear me out. Sometimes life can get you down, or get you so busy you forget the things that make your soul sing. With Pinterest, I have found that just a few minutes of browsing (usually on my phone) can get my mind out of the doldrums of work and chores, and get my creative juices flowing.

From the very start of my Pinteresting (is that a word?) I made a deal with myself that if I was going to spend time on the site (of course it can be a total black hole), that I had better do some of the projects that I've pinned! So I'm happy to say that I've probably done about 40-50 recipes or projects or organizational ideas this year. That being the case, I know it is an attainable goal to do at least 52 projects, one each week (or more) this year, and blog about it while I'm doing it!

I'm also a photographer and I want to increase my skills in the area of still life and product photography and photographing my projects, recipes, before and after shots of garden and organizational pins, would be a great way to give purpose to my skill building. Though I must admit, the photo above was taken on my iPhone, and I'm sure some weeks that is what will happen!
So, if you are reading this, welcome aboard! Feel free to leave a comment, and follow my Pinterest boards too at http://pinterest.com/vadowns/

I'm excited to get started! Let's make 2013 inspired, creative, crafty, delicious and more beautiful!
